The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Something weird happened to me today. First of all, let me start this short story (EEK! ok I'll TRY not to make this a story haha) by saying that I have been dirt broke for a while now. But, I feel that my higher power has always provided for me in one way or another, so I'm ok with that. As long as I can go to school and take care of my health I'm ok! Anyway, this story comes from the word karma I guess because I believe in it. I believe that if you do good things, than good things will happen to you in return! So, for those two things being said let me tell you about it. Ok, today started off like any other except for when I was on my way home. I had to stop at the gas station because I was low on gas. So, I figured I have $50 in my wallet (I just got paid the other day!), I need $20 of that for gas, I need $20 of that for produce, and the other $10 I had to spend on just regular food items. Which means I would have had no money after that. Plus, I had to take out my last dollars out of my savings account to pay for my car insurance and I had MAYBE $20 in my checking account if I was lucky. So, I have had no extra money at all, and that hasn't been just recently, but for quite awhile now. So, I get my gas and I'm on my way to the grocery store. I pay for my grocerys and food and I'm now walking out to my car. I put the food in my back seat and as I'm walking over to put my food cart away, I see this lady doing the same thing with her cart. She smiles at me , and I smile at her. All the while that we were smiling at eachother, which was really only about a good 10 seconds, I was thinking to myself, "Wow, that looks like a really nice lady". I don't usually think of things like that and then say them to myself. But, for some reason with this person it was different. I felt some kind of energy come out of her which was very uncanny. So, to get back to the story, she is walking back to her car while I'm putting my cart away. I noticed that in the same cart that she just put back, there was a fresh, crisp, twenty dollar bill just laying on the top of the cart. Now, at this point I'm saying to myself, "hmmm, is this my good kharma coming back to me? Or is my higher power giving me this $20 so that I may be able to provide for myself?" Then, I start thinking, "No! You cannot take that $20 bill. That money belongs to that lady that you just smiled at." Let me tell you that all of this thinking happened in a matter of less than a minute!! So, as soon as I grabbed the $20 I yelled for her and said, "Excuse me miss!!" As soon as she heard me say that, she turned around and she saw me waving her $20 bill in the air. I said, "I think you left this in your cart!" I gently gave her back the money, and she smiled very generously and said, "Thank you so much. I don't know what I'd do if I lost that." I smiled back at her lovingly and said, " No problem! I've lost money before and I know what it's like. *chuckles*" The thing is I've never (knock on wood) lost money before so I really didn't know what it felt like, but I was trying to empathize with her and so I said it that way. After I gave her back the money I felt so much better. It felt like a 50lb. weight was taken off of my shoulders! Then, I just kind of thought to myself, "eventhough I REALLY could have used that money, I'm sure she probably needed it more than I did, and plus it felt good to know that I was the person that was there when she lost her money and not someone else that might have taken the money instead of given it back to her."
